Making our Rustler stand out from the crowd by making it our own with factory upgrades ended up being quite an enjoyable process and the results are fervently satisfying. It was decided to concentrate on fortifying our Rustler’s suspension and driveshafts while also enhancing the VXL’s cooling system. We took a dive into their online catalog and selected a few upgrades that we thought would enhance our weekend bashing sessions. Some parts are meant to increase the durability of the vehicle while others can enhance any of its performance aspects including its stability, handling or power output. They offer upgrade parts for most, if not all of their offerings. We took a gander at the ocean-deep catalog that is Traxxas’ website and saw that the company has a deep understanding of what makes RC enthusiasts like us come back for more… upgrades. Its fully captured rod ends are designed to not pop off even under extreme stress.īack to the crux of this article, the all-important upgrades. Thick 4mm turnbuckles are made from heavy-duty steel and can be adjusted for custom toe and camber settings. The truck’s set of oil-filled Ultra Shocks is complemented with progressive rate springs that help maintain a smooth ride rough terrain and big air jumps. Its one-piece aluminum driveshaft distributes the power between front and rear gearboxes, resulting in an impressively smooth and efficient driveline operation. This is possible thanks to a robust transmission set up that includes a larger Revo-Spec slipper clutch and extreme heavy-duty driveshafts. If you’re looking for pure speed, it’s good to know that the Rustler 4X4 VXL’s Velineon 3500kV sensorless and brushless motor can power it to over 65 miles per hour while running the recommended battery and gearing pairing. The result is a truck that confidently careens around tight corners and jumps with ease. The wheelbase of the stadium truck has been lengthened by 20mm in order to provide enhanced balance for stability and responsiveness. The Rustler’s low-CG chassis positions the truck’s mass low for improved stability and confident handling. This four-wheel drive stadium truck already features plenty of upgrades straight out of the box including a completely brushless electronics package as well as a low-center of gravity (low-CG) composite chassis. Traxxas’ Rustler 4X4 VXL amps up the already impressive performance of its base-model version by further augmenting it with generous amounts of brushless power for aggressive off road speed and sure footed stability. Before we jump into how we upgraded our Rustler, let’s recap what the Rustler 4X4 VXL is all about. We could never leave anything in its factory configuration after all. Now that we have had some time with it in its stock form, we thought that it was a good time to upgrade it for even more driving fun with a selection of Traxxas factory upgrade parts. Those who read our previous review of the Rustler will remember that we were enthralled with its dynamic driving and robust durability characteristics. Our pink and purple liveried four-wheel drive truck is driven by Traxxas’ powerful brushless Velineon motor and electronic speed controller combination. We previously managed to get a hold of a Rustler 4X4 VXL to review in the January issue of RCCA. It’s definitely a versatile and fun vehicle to drive. Available in no less than six variations, Rustler is offered in two or four wheel-drive and is motivated by your choice of a brushed motor, brushless motor and even nitro engine option. One of the most popular RC vehicles that Traxxas offers is the stadium truck called Rustler. 6/12/2023 0 Comments 1.5 volt batteryBefore you r devices run out of power, you don’t know how much power it has. On the other hand, because the 1.5V rechargeable battery ha s constant voltage, the capacity is uncontrollable. On one hand, in high-current use scenarios, such as camera speedlights, it is possible that this type of lithium battery can not be used, or the use effect is poor (slow recycling speed), because the current required for camera flash recycling is very large. It can do almost all the work that NiMH batteries can do, such as wireless mouse and keyboard, electric toys, etc., and the average voltage output is higher than NiMH batteries. Just remember to return the batteries for recycling.ĪA rechargeable lithium battery is suitable for a wide range of applicable scenarios. Lithium batteries last longer, save money and therefore do less harm. The cost per use is less than 4 cents, which is truly economical and environmentally friendly. That means one lithium battery is equivalent to 1000 to 1500 alkaline batteries. It can be used for 500 to 1000 times, and the power of full charge is equivalent to that of 2 to 5 disposible alkaline batteries. quietly and quietly take health and life. Mercury, lead, cadmium, nickel, zinc, alkalis. Since the 1.5V rechargeable lithium battery is reduced voltage fr om the 3.6/3.7 lithium battery, it has all the advantages of Lithium batteries, such as fast charging speed, low self-discharge rate, high safety and performance, large discharge current, excellent high and low temperature discharge performance and so on.ĭisposable batteries are terribly harmful to the environment, and through it to our health, since these toxic substances are not removed from the human body. 5V AA rechargebale lithium battery uses internationally renowned batter y cells, and there is still ≥80% capacity remaining after 500 times of use. In contrast, the life of the 1.5V rechargeable lithium battery depends on battery cells. T his will inevitably shorten the battery life. On the other hand, although many manufacturers promise that their NiMH batteries can be used 500 times, due to the memory effect, you need to charge and discharge the battery from time to time to release the capacity of the batter y. Small amount of charge and discharge can even reduce the loss of the battery. You can charge and discharge your lithium battery at any time. There is no such concern in using lithium batteries. If the traditional nickel-metal hydride battery is not deeply discharged for a long time, the battery capacity will become smaller and smaller, and the battery life will also be greatly reduced. that use this battery will also maintain stable performance. But the discharge current of the 1.2V rechargeable battery and disposible alkaline battery will gradually decreases during use, just as the following picture shows.Ĭompared with NiMH batteries, lithium batteries have no memory effect, which is a great breakthrough. In this straight line, due to the constant voltage, the devices such as racing cars, remote controls, electric toys, etc. In contrast, the output of the 1.5V rechargeable lithium battery is a constant voltage of 1.5V, and its discharge voltage can be simply understood as a horizontal straight line. So, how do these new 1.5V batteries perform compared to NiMH batteries and disposable alkaline batteries? Let's take a look. Its principle is a 3.6/3.7V lithium battery be stepped down to a 1.5V constant voltage output through a built-in circuit module. In recent years, a new battery - 1.5V rechargeable lithium ion battery has appeared on the market. However, a lthough NiMH rechargeable batteries are comparable to lithium-ion batteries in terms of cycle times and memory effects, the standard voltage of 1.2V cannot play strength on some devices with higher voltage requirements, and only disposable alkaline batteries can be selected. Traditional AA/AAA rechargeable batteries have always been the world of NiMH batteries, especially the appearance of Eneloop. 6/12/2023 0 Comments Royal order of scotland regaliaWhen offered, the artifact can also be destroyed to lose 10 Stress or improved for a moderate amount of Gold. The Revolve system presents a fat-processing option that was less time-consuming, easier to use, and more efficient in this study than standard centrifugation or decantation. In an animal model, volume retention of Revolve-processed fat grafts was significantly greater than decanted samples. The Revolve system produced physiologically compatible, preinjection fat with reduced contaminants and free oil in conjunction with high fat content. Fat tissue retention from Revolve samples was significantly higher (73.2%) than that from decanted samples (37.5%) and similar to that from centrifuged samples (67.7%). The Revolve system yielded significantly less blood cell debris, a higher percentage of adipose tissue, and a lower percentage of free oil compared with the other 2 methods. Fat tissue obtained from all methods had good physiological properties with neutral pH and isotonic salt concentrations. Mean patient age was 40.7 ± 8.9 years (range, 30-55 years). But to capture these benefits, companies need to design, architect, and implement the right resiliency patterns to meet business and customer needs. Of the 10 patients, 9 were women and 1 was a man. This is where the origin of QWERTY gets a little foggy.Įxperimental Sholes & Glidden typewriters circa 1873 After all, anyone who used the keyboard would know immediately where to find each letter hunting would be reduced, pecking would be increased. The team surely assumed it would be the most efficient arrangement. The earliest typewriter keyboard resembled a piano and was built with an alphabetical arrangement of 28 keys. Soulé, James Densmore, and Carlos Glidden, and first patented in 1868. One such invention was an early typewriter, which he developed with Samuel W. In the 1860s, a politician, printer, newspaper man, and amateur inventor in Milwaukee by the name of Christopher Latham Sholes spent his free time developing various machines to make his businesses more efficient. It turns out that there is a lot of myth and misinformation surrounding the development of QWERTY, but these various theories all seem to agree that the QWERTY layout was developed along with, and inextricably linked to, early typewriters. Unlike KALQ, it couldn’t have been designed to accommodate a specific typing technique because, well, the idea of typing –touch typing, at least– hadn’t been invented yet. It’s an interesting and by all accounts commercially viable design that got me thinking about the rationale behind the QWERTY keyboard. The new keyboard, known as KALQ, is designed specifically for thumb-typing on today’s smart phones and tablets. A recent article in Smithsonian’s news blog, Smart News, described an innovative new keyboard system that proposes a more efficient alternative to the ubiquitous “universal” keyboard best known as QWERTY – named for the first six letters in the top row of keys. What came first: the typist or the keyboard? The answer depends on the keyboard. 6/11/2023 0 Comments Ttv meaningThe people I can’t stand are number people. still dunno what it stands for and couldn’t care less about it. I think very few and I mean less than 20 times have I had a TTV who was a normal teammate. either the same happends or the person wouldn’t even land near us and you’d just hear “AHHHHHHH” and then disconnect XD. When the I see good stuff presents itself, they’d usually run out, attacking some people for no reason, 80-90% die, then open their mic and start cussing or asking why we didn’t help him in a degenerative tone and decide to D/C before we could answer (the answer would usually be that we’re still looting an unlooted spot or that we saw that he was running towards a squad who had the advantage and we already pinged ‘come here’ yet he decided to go, gets focused fired and tries to blame us XD) then I’d see their badges/banners and either be like: ‘okay I see good stuff’ or ‘ohh gosh.’ was always fun to play with them cause my first assumption would be: here we go.User testing and product usage statistics will help identify areas where small UX improvements would make a big difference in TTV. If instructions are unclear, buttons aren’t properly labelled, or settings are buried in complicated menus, customers will stop trying before they get to the Aha! moment. Product usability: the path to realizing value should be the most friction-free, intuitive journey in your product.Customer Success Managers can help with set-up, offer personalized training sessions and be a great first contact point. Customers will see value faster if you personalize the journey. Customer Success Managers: if your product is quite intensive to set up, try using a more hands-on approach. They provide information about how to get set up, what to do first and will hopefully smooth any bumps in the road on the path to enlightenment. Onboarding Guides: these can be in-product, documentation or a series of drip emails. Many teams will have an effect on shrinking TTV, but here are a few of your most valuable tools: For example, AirBnB doesn’t force anyone to sign in before browsing because locating a great place to stay is what hooks customers. Decreasing friction will ensure more customers complete all of the onboarding steps. Once you know what makes customers shout Aha! you need to decide the most efficient route to get them to it. Facebook’s is when a user connects with 10 friends in the first week after signup.ĪppCues has written a really detailed guide to finding your Aha! moment that’s worth checking out. Dropbox’s is the first time customers add a file to their shared folder. The Aha! Moment is when customers first realize the value of your product. To decrease your TTV, you first need to discover your Aha! moment. If you’re choosing to measure and shrink TTV (which you should), your idea of value needs to be the same as your customers. Until that happens…they aren’t seeing the value. Even if all of those are nice add ons, your customer is giving you money because you say you can increase their Average Order Size. The value that your customer is looking for is the increase in Average Order Size – it’s not cool reporting, a slick set-up tool or really great customer service. This is all about the perceived value from your customer’s perspective.įor example, say you’re advertising an e-commerce optimization tool that increases Average Order Size. Notice that we don’t say what value you want to deliver. In this case, it’s the benefit your customer is expecting to receive from your product. We don’t want to get existential here, but to measure Time to Value, you need to know what value means. Customers tend to churn much faster.Ī short TTV means customers get a return on their investment of time faster – and that means they are more likely to stick around! What’s the “value”? With SaaS, this tolerance for delays or frustration is much smaller. Customers were willing to wade through the “ trough of disillusionment” following a purchase, because there was already a large sunk cost in the deployment. In the olden days, when customers purchased perpetual licenses, TTV wasn’t as critical. No one wants to spend a lot of time or effort setting up and learning a product that might not even do what it says on the can. Once you’ve convinced your customer to purchase or sign up for a free trial, you have a limited amount of time to show value before they churn. Never is this more true than during the crucial onboarding period. In the world of SaaS, you’re never far away from losing a customer. Overtime, you want to decrease TTV so new customers find value faster. Time to Value (TTV) is the amount of time it takes a new customer to realize value from your product. 6/11/2023 0 Comments Raafi the color machine“I always admired friends or collaborators who start with the idea. “For a long time I was too focused on technique: how something looked, how to make the highest-quality image,” Raafi says. Leaving your comfort zone, Raafi says, is also key. You’re always dying a thousand tiny deaths trying to get the footage to live up to the picture in your head.” In film you watch your work a million times-you have to find the right cut, the right moment. No one wants to fail, but it’s a critical part of the process. Ultimately, I pushed a piece that wasn’t good. “Some of my biggest failures came when I didn’t admit that something wasn’t working. You have to be flexible to solve those problems. You’re always planning, scheduling, coordinating, but something inevitably goes wrong. “When adapting becomes your zone, you begin to break apart every idea, and you often find something truly original,” Raafi says. Depending on limited resources and materials, he was forced to rely on what was abundant. Raafi recalls his early film work, when he was a college student with no money. “You ultimately have to go back to your cave and tune everything out and say, ‘What do I believe? What ideas resonate?’ You need that spine, or strength of vision, but when you find moments of true collaboration you can be pleasantly surprised by your own work.” Inspiration and ideas develop from those connections. He purposefully consumes as much as possible each day-from culture, news, photography, technology, architecture, music, and the people in his life. However, he also depends upon his voracious appetite for information outside his own world. Some of the creative process is instinctual, Raafi says: following an impulse that’s stronger than any other. From that collaboration-of talented people who trust their abilities-greatness bubbles up.” The second model, and the one to which Raafi subscribes, he calls the Miles Davis model: “These people are still extremely talented, but the magic comes from putting Miles in the same room with John Coltrane, Bill Evans and Cannonball Adderley, and together they come up with Kind of Blue. Raafi believes in two models of creativity: One he calls the Mozart model, where the boy genius writes the notes in his head because he innately knows how. “You might think a sequence or a cut works well, and someone else will watch it and say, ‘What does that mean?’ Having people you trust-who have a different perspective but great taste-look over your shoulder and share their opinions is essential.” “As a filmmaker, you need sounding boards,” Raafi says. Together, they develop scripts, provide constant feedback, and ensure that the videos they release meet the same high-quality standards. The company’s site describes the trio as “a gang of makers.” While directors are assigned to projects according to client need and vision, collaboration is at the heart of their work. Each production, regardless of client or product, gets at the heart of a human tale. The Color Machine’s collective client list now includes global brands like Coca-Cola, Dior, Skype, McDonald’s and Quicksilver, as well as entertainment powerhouses like HBO, Sony and Discovery. Partner Liz Regan, a producer herself, came on to fill that gap. Both directors have well-honed filmmaking abilities and have produced their own work, but they were missing the necessary business acumen. Two years ago, Raafi and Jordan Alport-filmmaker, friend and business partner-put their reels together and shared the collection with potential clients, showing that they were two people bigger than one. Prior to that, he studied film at Brown, and he’s been in New York City since. Raafi has worked in film and advertising since graduating from film school at Howard University. The space is a comfortable blend of well worn and cutting edge-a perfect place from which filmmaker Raafi Rivero ’95 and his business partners to craft visual stories. The Color Machine’s office is a Brooklyn artist’s loft: all open concept, complete with floor-to-ceiling windows, polished concrete surfaces and jangling elevator cage. 6/11/2023 0 Comments Janetter cannot add photo to tweetYou can read more about how to write great image descriptions.
